Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona | | | About me | I'm from Spain and I've lived in London since 1999. I studied at the International School of Corporeal Mime in London with Steve Wasson and Corinne Soum, the two founding members and directors of the Theatre de l'Ange Fou. It is then that I became interested in the field of costume and stage design: as part of the studies we had to be in charge of our own props, stage and costumes and that gave us an understanding of objects and costume and how these add to atmosphere, story and characters.
Since I graduated in June 2006 I've taken part in a variety of different projects, the most recent being a one month residency at the Museum of Modern Art Chiloe in Chile in December 2007. In partnership with another mime artist, we created a piece of mime based on elements found in the local "chilote" mythology, we designed and built our own set finding objects in and particular to the island and using costumes and masks of our own design and making.
Previous to this I have been working on an experimental collaboration between mime artists and painters in artists studios across London, which again involves creative improvisation with found objects in order to produce a scene that could be inspiring to both; mime and painter. In September 2005 we filmed "Los Inmortales" a short film by Patricio Bosich who I assisted in production and was responsible for costume.
